I, Dave Samson founded De Liefste day care with the help of my girlfriend. My girlfriend Annemiek Lakeman has many years of experience within the day care in different functions (from group leader to manager and as an inspector within the district). Hence that is where the idea came from to start our own day care. We have a daughter Livia (16 years old) and a son Moos (12 years old). Inspired by them, we came up with the name De Liefste. Livia means “beloved friend” and we hope that every child, parent and staff member feels loved within our day care.

 

We started off with a vertical group in 2010, with that we mean that all children aged 6 weeks to 4 years old were placed in one group. Eventually we expanded to 5 different age groups. At the moment we have 2 baby groups made up of children aged 6 weeks until 18 months old, 1 toddler group 14 months until 2,5 years (before the vertical group), 1 group made up of older toddler with ages ranging from 2 to 3 years old, and another group with ages from 3 to 4 years old.

 

Day care De Liefste is found in a unique location attached to the wing of a church that has a very large garden (450m2) in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. The available outdoor space of our day care is unique in Amsterdam and therefore plays an important role during the stay of the children at our day care.

 

We are open from 7.30AM until 18.30PM and are reachable 24 hours a day for everyone as we highly value our customer satisfaction.

We are aware that you are leaving your most precious asset with us, so we will be sure to guide the process hands-on so that you can get on with your daily chores with the peace of mind that your child is in good hands.
